Last night Cindy and I worked on the pool and took a break from working inside the house. This is THE LAST year for this pool because its ridiculous that we have to repatch the corners every single year. Because the walls of the pool are bowing out each year the corners of the liner are being pulled away, and its getting worse each year. So yeah, next spring that pool is coming down. We plan on replacing the pool in '08 with a round pool and it might be as large at 24 ft round, but that's it. I really don't want something huge because our current pool takes a lot to maintain.
So far we have the baby's room all set up. We have to get a baby monitor and see how Jacob does sleeping by himself in his own room. Cindy and I have to sleep in our living room on our sofa sleeper because our air mattress has a leak. I want to get a real mattress this time so we'll look around for one.
The new living room wasn't touched yesterday when I was hoping to primer and paint the walls, so today should be the day for that to happen. Its really tough working in that room because I can only be there for about 2 or 3 hours and then my allergies kill me for the rest of the day. That room is disgusting, and we need to bleach the floors once we get the rest of the carpet padding up. I got the rest of the floor tile up on Tuesday night.
One of my clients suggested going to a place in Spencer for real hardwood floor rather than getting laminate. They are able to get hardwood for $1 a square foot with foam a couple of weeks ago because these are leftovers from jobs that this company has done. I'll see if I can take a look at this this weekend. As of now, it's going to be $1.25 per square foot of laminate and I still have to buy the foam which is about 20 cents a square foot. Hardwood floor would make it look rich, apparently it's about as easy as laminate, so we'll see.
Our kitchen is still a mess and I really wish I could have taken all week off to get things done. We have a lot of boxes that still need to be emptied in the kitchen such as pots, pans, and tupperware.
I cannot wait for lunch, I really want to see Jacob. Today was his first day at my parent's house and I had to drop him off there this morning before work. This is much different for me where I would just leave for work and say goodbye to Cindy and Jacob. I really hope he's doing okay at the new house. I noticed that he gets really upset when he's left by his mom or dad.
