Okay, coherence:
They had eyes for no one but each other, but as of late, it seemed to them, sex was put on the back burner, to be replaced by more urgent things - work, and Rose with her lengthy and difficult chicken pox, to only name a few. They were up all night with Rose and sleep-walking through their jobs during the day, hardly able to remember their own names by the time bedtime rolled around.
I love how this is really simple but so visual at the same time. It really makes me feel for the two of them!
Hermione expected their trip to go flawlessly.

After the seventeen-hour flight, Hermione was prepared to rip her hair out, and could see that Ron looked exhausted and desperate. She did not take into consideration how long the flight from London to Hawaii would be, and how a small child might react to sitting in a seat for almost a day in the air. She could see that Ron barely got through it. His fascination of looking out the window at the clouds waned sooner than she thought it would, and he became restless.
Exhausted and desperate are definitely the words I'd go for! Bless them.
Hermione woke up with a start, a scream, and a jump as freezing cold water poured over her face and chest. For a long time, staring around her without seeing anything, she could not remember where she was. When her eyes came into focus, she could finally see Rose standing by her bed with the now empty cup, and Ron rushing towards the bed.
This seriously made me laugh out loud. It's such a hilarious image!
“I’ll be damned if you don’t get to see Hugo sometime soon,” the man replied after a few moments of contemplation. “He’s the resident whale here. Must be as old as I am by now, but still the kid he’s always been. Loves people. I haven’t been on a cruise yet where he hasn’t made quite the appearance. He just loves to show off, our Hugo. Keep your eyes out, and you’ll see more than you thought you ever would.”
Awww! This is just adorable! Just squee-inducing!
“It’s...” Ron seemed at a loss for words. “It’s the most magnificent thing I have ever seen,” he said finally.
Aww! Ron's such a sweetie.
“Not really.” He chuckled. “You know how bad I am with names. If it was completely up to me Rose would be named something ghastly, I’m sure.”
Hermione laughed and kissed the tip of Ron’s nose, making him squint in that adorable manner she always loved.
“What do you think about Hugo?”
This is just the most brilliant ending. Just tying it all together and ... *sigh* I'm on such a R/Hr high right now! This was completely awesome! Thank you so so so much :)
