All right, I've tallied the votes, gone back and forth with myself a good deal, and have decided that, since most of the categories have clear-cut winners anyway, we'd have a tie-breaking round of voting for the categories that don't, and then the awards. I have a feeling that if we went through the whole "official" voting process, we'd end up with the same results anyway.
If anyone has any objections to this, please say so right now. I doubt it would be extremely controversial to just settle this thing once and for all, but if there's an overwhelming surge of outrage at my modly decision, then we'll go ahead with the official voting poll.
Keep in mind, however, that there's still the awards for the Valentine's Day exchange to consider, as well as sign-ups for a summer exchange.
For everyone in favor of just going ahead with the tie-breaking round, the poll for it is just behind the cut. Overall, we had enough nominees for each category, and (without any severe objections) the results from this poll, along with the winners from the other categories, will be posted on Saturday, April 28, 2007. You have until the day before, April 27, 2007 to place your votes.
Thank you all so, so much for your patience. ♥
EDIT: I forgot to mention this, but I really thought that it would be common sense by now. DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF. I can see exactly who voted for what, so I know who's given themselves a boost.
Awards are meant to be given based on others' evaluation of your work. NOT yours.
Since I forgot to mention it this time, I won't disqualify anyone, but know that any votes you placed for yourself will be ignored in the final tally. As a basic ground rule, even if I fail to mention it next time (although I'll be putting this in the comm profile anyway, which I know you've all read thoroughly, right?), know that voting for yourself is a major no-no, and anyone who violates this policy will be disqualified.
Edit #2: The votes have been counted, and the poll has now been taken down. Check back later for the results.
