Congratulations, Shoc, for a well-earned victory. I was eating your dust the whole time in this round, your drabbles obviously connected very strongly with the readers! And, if you dropped English in 1979, that tells me that we had an All-Old-Lady Final, which rocks. Them whippersnappers don't know from sexy redheads, I say.

Speaking of which, I love that we both had Ron saying "My arse" as a final line. Were we both looking at Napchic's art? I wonder if some readers thought that my Quiddich piece and your Defining Moment piece were actually by the same person, with that final line meant to bridge the pair. Huh. Anyway, talking of Ron's hindquarters can never be a bad thing, now, can it?

Also, on your international strategy...I may be American, but I went to UCL and lived in London for enough time to credibly tackle some Britishisms, although I do slip...it's a bit like I can listen to John Barrowman and still here a few odd Scots inflections slip through, but a UK native would quite rightly be impressed with his American accent. (Pause here so Step can recover from the mention of The Barrowman) I did write my Quiddich piece with Quiddich Through the Ages in front of me...check out the diagrams for extra laughs about Seamus' girl with her Starfish and Stick (I swear it's like a spread-eagled stripper pole move!) and the Wollongong Shimmy!

I've been overall thrilled with this round. I made it to the final 3 in round one, so this time I lasted longer. Plus, in this round, I was never on the cusp of outing, and came in second a frightening number of times. The technicalities of competition mean that isn't terribly significant, but I do feel like I had a good run of consistently decent writing going, and that is one of the qualities I was trying to hone and develop in this LDWS. I feel like the competition was INSANE this round. What a tremendous collection of work, every week!

Thank you, Step, for yet again presiding over a great round. In days when some corners of canon fandom are winding down, This LDWS has been such a reliable source of really good writing!

Congratulations again, Shoc! Now, go atone for kicking my ass by writing some funny Harry-Ron friendship stuff. You know "The Talk" is one of my all time favorites...MOAR PLS!

You were madly consistent - I was very impressed!

Yes, I did notice the repeated arse - he has an awesome arse, and it bares repeating!

Oh, I second the Harry Ron friendship demands.

MO, I've told you this before but your consistency week after week was amazing and intimidating.
