Round 3, Challenge 9: Results

The Winner of Challenge 9 of Round 3 of rwhg_ldws is miss_daizy who wrote "Falling Through Time". Congratulations! :D

This weeks's Mod's Choice I'm giving to miss_daizy. I don't normally give Mod's Choice to the winner of the round but her drabble blew me away with the different ways she used the senses in her drabble and the way she showed how ( Read more... )

Wow....that was....quite a week! My only goal was to make it as far this time as I did in Round 1, so I guess I'm now free of self-expectations!

I stopped following the voting because, honestly, I love you guys all so much that I couldn't judge. My own voting placed MissDaizy's first (and I wasn't alone) and then the other two equal, but I gave Shoc a bonus point for taking on the ultimate risk of going DARK this late in the game. I guessed whose was whose pretty easily, I know all three of your work so well by now. You are all some of my favourite writers in the R/Hr fandom, and at this point I think for me I'm just thrilled to get to read the entries!

Step, I can't tell you how much the LDWS has meant to me, both in Round 1 and 3... I don't have much time or emotional energy for more than a drabble, but to write with so many great writers? To read and contribute to so many great moments of writing? It's been really important to me. So, thanks.

And, Lauryne, I'm sorry to see you go. Your story was so sweet, so classic...just the kind of believable fluff that can make your day. Be proud, sisterfriend! You are going out on a high note! Look at the number of 10 votes you got! Your work was well-loved!

(PS: Shoc, this week in Round 1, I won for killing Harry, and then subsequently Ron and Hermione both. Don't try to predict!)

I have no idea why I took such a risk so late - I was so sure was doomed - went to bed writing my concession speech in my head - didn't allow for the Orthodox Jews in Arizona who couldn't vote until sundown on Saturday - survived by the skin of my teeth!

Yours was so intense and urgent and it was amazing that you did it with such a limit on the structure and word count.

I thought you took a risk too by involving so many other characters but it paid off. Of course, you're still in for the nagging I promised :)
