Vrefophageia was practiced by ancient Greeks during the celebrations to honor the god of ecstasy, Dionysus - however you won't get that in most history books. That's because "vrefophageia" is the act of consuming living, breathing babies.
It is said that eating the body and mind of the newborn is a great way to live longer and have good skin - and, most importantly, unsurpassed beauty. Beautiful Helen was a known baby-eater.
There is a certain technique you must abide to when feasting however - the baby must not be crying. That is, of course, nearly impossible. So the act was usually followed by snaping the baby's vocal cords without killing it. The technique for achieving this is carefully documented from ancient times, however most historians and archeologists will feverishly deny the existence of such documents... not all of them mind you.
But you wanna know what's really disturbing? It's that this is still practiced today in Turkey, modern Greece and various other parts of the world - as well, of course, as the US. And you know why people generally don't get caught? Because it works. It's true. It does give you beauty - in a matter of MONTHS. Everyone crumbles, everyone gives in to the temptation. No one who has got far enough to obtain serious information on this has talked to the police or the media, because they themselves are converted.
