frizzzziiiday, jigga what?
so, today is friday... which is always a good thing...
i have done JACK SHIT at work today because i attended a lecture this morning, then an olympic themed potluck lunch that included office olympics.... i didn't win anything, just like field days in elementary school. the potluck was good but has lead to an afternoon of stomach cramps and frequent trips to the "men's lounge".
i am off at 4:00 and luke and sarah are coming for dinner around 6:00, so it is a good day. i don't feel like cooking at al, so we'll see what i decide to do. hopefully i feel better by the time i leave here at 4:00.
ok, so life changing decision time... i am no longer going to do the community development degree i don't think. instead, i plan to get certified in secondary ed and either social sciences or english lit, whichever takes less time based on my transcript evaluation. i found out that once i am certified in one i can get a second cert just by passing another praxis test, rather than having to take more courses, so i'll probably end up certified in both and with an m.ed when i'm done with this.
i still plan to be a sociology prof, but years down the road. and what better way to get teaching experience than teaching, eh? so... that's kinda the idea right now.
some job prospects here are a'brewing, so we'll see what's up and i'll keep ya'll posted.
