Hey everyone. How's it hanging? Pretty good here. Just got done with my piano final, so I'm done with that, and my week is essentially over. Not much left before I'm done for good. Monday Theory final and practice with Yu Chien, Tuesday jury and Sightsinging final, and Thursday World Music Culture final (not cumilative!) and then I'm outta here. Wow. I still can't believe I'm almost done with an entire year of college. I still remember thinking that I was surprised I was done with an entire year of high school.
So Wednesday was my last day at the Publix... not sad at all, by the way. :-P Now I just have to job search in AZ... no fun.
In sports, the NBA playoffs are getting ready to start. Miami has the top seed in the East and homecourt advantage over everyone but Pheonix and possibly San Antonio, with the opening series against the New Jersey Nets. Hopefully Shaq will be healthy. Also, the Marlins are 9-7 and tied with the Washington Nationals atop the NL East. And the NFL Draft is this weekend, so hopefully the Phins will do something smart with the #2 pick.
Went to the Wind Orchestra concert last night. They were doing a jazzy-type show. The opener was ok, but the second tune was the big one for me. They brought out the FSU Jazz Quintet, which consists of Leon Anderson, Bill Kennedy, Rodney Jordan, Bill Peterson (all professors of their instruments) and Etienne Charles. It was a 7-movement masterpiece that was most excellent. But after that, I left, cause the Wind Orchestra without the quintet, frankly, can't swing, and I wasn't about to sit through another 45 minutes of just them.
I don't really suppose there's too much to say, other than that stuff, so I'll move on to the link. This is for all you cat-haters out there:
Kitty Cannon
http://www.addictinggames.com/kittencannon.html I think it's more addicting than the helicopter game... I got up to 1300 feet. See if you can beat that. And I know this is sad, but I really think it's cool the way the cat slides down the spikes.
Ok, I'm done. Need to go to the gym... or do something semi-productive... whatever. Have a good one, and remember, first you forget names, then you forget faces. Next you forget to pull your zipper up and finally, you forget to pull it down.
