Poll What should I read next?

I can't decide what to read after I'm finished with Roger Zelazny's Nine Princes in Amber so help me choose! It might be more difficult to win me over with a write in vote, but if it's good enough and you can somehow convince other people to vote for it, it just might work.

The golden compass has a HORRID ending. I hated it....totally ruined the book for me. I voted C.S. Lewis...but Harry Potter is always good too....and I love McCaffery.

That's so strange. I can't tell you how many people have told me I have to read that series. More than any other book or series, that much I know.

So far McCaffery, Lewis, and Pullman are in the lead so keep your fingers crossed.

I take that back. Someone voted while I wasn't paying attention and Lewis is now in the lead. Yay!

Well, I never read any of the other books...and I was told that the story just kinda keeps going on. It just totally put me off. I'm not big on crappy endings. ;) If you end up going with that one, make sure you have the next book handy and maybe it wont be so bad, heh.

Oh, and despite the shitty ending, I'll be the first to admit that I loved it up till then and that it was very well written.
