Mid-semester break was wasted on sleeping time and procrastination... I don't know why I can't bring myself to work on my final year thesis. My やる気 is very zero XD
Anyway, I've started my manga buying plan... Although it kept changing (depending on my fangirl feelings towards the manga), it's a given that I'm buying something whenever I have the opportunity. This, I predict, will become a vicious and pathetic cycle later *haha*
Following my plans, I encountered two new shopping sites that will hopefully help with my purchase in the future. First is CDJapan & my first order from them is 「Kimi no Tame ni Hiku Chopin」 Vol 1-3 & 「Dengeki Daisy」Vol 15. Was very irritated that they also don't have KimiCho Vol 4 (seems like it was an issue too on the mangaka's
KimiCho blog - japanese readers are having a hard time looking for it too) so when I googled for more options on buying manga, I found honto.jp. The website is entirely in japanese but there's an online tutorial on how to register. Actually I had found this earlier but thought it's too troublesome... haha.. but out of desperation, I finally tried it. The only troublesome part was the registration really, after that ordering was like a breeze (as long as you have the money :P). I ordered two (but one was cancelled because it was out-of-stock) including KimiCho vol 4.. I didn't dare to hope more after they cancelled the other one but today I am pleasantly surprised to get an email (in japanese though) from them about shipment (I think). I was like : "They found the fourth volume!! キタ!!!!!" LOL... It's really hard to find volume 4 so I'm very glad that I decided to try. Err.. but I still have other worries such as whether my debit card is usable on the site & for its delivery safety XD...
Oh yeah.. also, for the first time in my life, I ordered my first manga magazine today...
Jun-kun is starring in the 月9 drama slot next Winter. Seems interesting because it's food-themed. A manga adaptation but I never read it before hehe... On 2ch, they talked about whether this will follow last year's trend (where Ohno is in Spring's 月9) i.e maybe a sequel to KagiHeya.. BUT. It might not be so, I mean, not a KagiHeya sequel, because Jun's dorama producer-director combi is the KagiHeya combi (lol).. Producer Obara + Director Matsuyama. I just realised that today though because I didn't have time to read the official news. Seems unlikely for them to have another project next season (and if there'll be a movie, the filming might occur later than Spring, I guess)... but for Ohno to have a Spring dorama is not an impossibility. Although I kind of have a feeling it would be other member (Nino maybe)... & I'm still hoping for another new character & a fall dorama :D
p/s: I forgot to mention this - I finished reading "My Girl" manga... KYAAA.. the art (lol it's weird how I have started noticing things like these now although I still care about the plot first) is so beautiful <3.. I already added this to my manga plan (it was an easy decision because there are only 5 volumes :D)... I was curious if it has the same ending with the dorama - I'm GLAD it didn't - because the ending where Masamune left to pursue his dream (even with everyone's understanding esp his daughter) didn't really sit well with me, like something is amiss. And boy, I cried and cried and cried reading the manga... family theme, when appropriately done, always make me cry.. When I checked the mangaka's page, I realised I read one of her works before & that was a heavy-themed one too.. sigh. Surprisingly, this made me appreciate the dorama more.. and the theme song. I've started playing the song with six flats (NOOOO!!!) on the piano now. Hehe... actually when I play it, I play with the feelings I get when I read the manga. Might re-watch the dorama if I'm in the mood. Haven't started reading "Bartender" yet.
p/s2: After "Platina Data", I watched Ikuta Toma's "Nou Otoko". I liked that one better (maybe because of the pace) although it seems far-fetched... hmm.. actually thinking about it now, his character could have been a twisted version of Tonari's Yoshida Haru (!!! *realization* !!!).. and honestly, all I want to do is hug him back in the end... and that ending.. what was he going to do? Why do I get the feeling that he's going to kill himself or something? BTW, Toma looked so good in the movie :D
