In the future everyone is going to be famous for 15 Minutes

So said Andy Warhol and hence the popularisation of the term 15 minutes of fame. On Friday, Vanessa, Xuewei, Tessa and I made a trip down to 15 Minutes, a cafe located at La Salle College. The whole place gave off a very cosy, old school feeling. I felt as though I could sit there and just ponder about the philosophies of life the whole day.

Friends, food & fame indeed. It's a perfect place for old friends to come together and catch up. That night, we saw a few groups of old friends come together after a long time... It was such a heart-warming scene. Of course, I enjoyed my company thoroughly. What more can I ask for besides the company of my good friends and good food?

Now, the food. I ordered the Thin-crust Oriental Duck Pizza. I love it! Generous serving of roast duck meat topped with cashew nuts, mandarin oranges, baked egg, sesame seed and chopped onions. The sauce itself was good. The crust was roasted to crispy perfection, just the way I like it. The mandarin oranges gave the pizza a unique and refreshing twist to the savouriness of the pizza. The duck was a tad on the dry side though.

Vanessa got herself fish n chips after I recommended it to her. Don't let the looks deceive you. The fish might look overfried on the outside, but it is definitely not inside! The fish was fresh, tender and succulent inside. This is probably one of the best fish n chips I have ever eaten. The batter itself is unique. It looks like your KFC chicken batter, unlike your typical fish batter. The cajun fries were good as well. The distinct flavour of the herbs and spices upped the deliciousness of the fries.

Next up, Chicken and Avocado Pasta in Cream Sauce. If you love avocado, you'll love this dish. The taste of the avocado was distinct in the cream sauce and it added a very nice touch to overall taste of the pasta. It tastes unique in a very good way. Now I'm craving for this pasta!

Mushroom and Ham Linguine in Pink Sauce. I like the sauce of this pasta too! It's a mixture of tomato and cream sauce. I always have this problem of being overwhelmed by cream sauces. This tomato and cream sauce combination managed to make it less overwhelming. Good job!

Final verdict: Will definitely go back again! Above average food that's very reasonably priced with a very cosy ambience for you to catch up with friends!
