My new job, though corporate, kinda rocks right now. Yes, it's strange to be part of the dialy grind, but can I just tell you some of the perks I've been experiencing as a result of having a job? No? Well too bad, bitches, I'm going to do it anyway...
1. Yesterday I did my very first group yoga session. At the office. For free. It goes on every Thursday. Yay!
2. We have this thing called "lunch box." Basically what that means is that ever day of the week, they offer food from 2 different restaurants. You can peruse the menu, pick what you want, and they deliver it to us. This week I had Leo's Coney Island, Qdoba, and Mr. Pita. Yu-um.
3. Every Tuesday we do Martial Arts. At the office. For free. That starts next week.
4. Cigarette breaks. Awesome.
5. Free zoo membership. Holla.
6. Endless supplies of Coke products. Okay, so Coke is the devil, but every floor has a vending machine the dispenses Dasani, Rockstar, Coke, etc.... for free. What?!
7. The building is an old brewery, so the layout is really funky and awesome. The wood floors are made from an old bowling alley. The walls are green and purple. And there are lots of windows in my area. AND I CAN HEAR THE FUCKING TRAIN!
8. THEY RECYCLE.
9. I WORK WITH MY SISTER!
10. And this might just be the best part: Tonight we are having an office bar crawl (about 80% of the people who work here are under the age of 30). The CEO has paid for a mother fucking TROLLEY to cart everyone around town from bar to bar tonight. Excuse me? (It's not uhaul, but it IS a TROLLEY).
Wow. This is actually kinda exciting... right now at least. I'm just going to revel in this feeling, because something tells me it isn't going to last.
