When I picked up this ickle pink one as an egg she only had 7 hrs left to hatch, so even with the extra 1 day I got for picking her up in the abandoned section, she still only had 1.3 days, and no cracks in sight! So definitely a success story :-)
I'm now on my 3rd clutch of dragons :-) Clutch 1 are now adults, and therefore have names. I ummed and ahhed for a while, trying to come up with a scheme for naming them, and ended up opting for first names that are translations of words related to the type of dragon, and surnames of whisky distilleries. SO, allow me to introduce:-
Kalasag Balvenie, my male guardian dragon - kalasag is filipino for shield
Bulaklak Glendullan, my male vine dragon - bulaklak is filipino for flower
Tubig Glenfiddich, my male water dragon - tubig is filipino for water
Amatista Pittyvaich, my female dragon - amatista is (unsurprisingly!) filipino for amethyst
My second clutch are hatchlings, but haven't grown their wings yet, so I don't know their genders:-
And this is the rest of my third clutch (which obviously includes the pink hatchling at the top of this entry!):-
I'm not really sure why I grabbed that last one, since it's the same breed as Bulaklak, and I'm aiming for variety at the moment! Oh well, maybe it'll be a female, meaning I'll have a pair :-)
