Humacti Central
I recently attended a patrol in the area of Stone Wood. Humacti Cecil was also in attendance.
Although there were certainly suspicious circumstances, no confirmed evidence of undead or necromantic involvement was found.
The local innkeeper had gone missing in the hunt for an artefact (the Mask of the Bard) to restore his wife, who had been animated during a necromantic attack some three years ago. Her preserved body was found in the cellar of his inn though she did not detect as undead. I would request a check on the resolution to the previous undead incursion here and, if her body was not consecrated at the time, could arrangements be made for this to be done now?
It is likely the innkeeper has found this mask and is now possessed by it. The only information we found on the mask claims it is demonic in nature, though this leaves open the possibility of a necromantic demon, especially given the apparent possession. On the other hand, he is presumed to have killed a Seeker who had followed him but she had not been animated and is to be resurrected.
The patrol were hindered by a number of crazed and/or desperate individuals who had apparently been informed a patrol would be in the area. Fortunately they were dealt with with minimal loss of life but we were unable to ensure the area was entirely clear, deeming the mask to be the strongest threat, so will need to be alert for any further possible necromantic activity in this region.

Sergeant Montrose
We were unable to locate Tobin Freeborn, though our scouts tracked him into the foothills. There is reason to believe he may be possessed and should considered dangerous and not to be approached. It is likely he may return to the village of Stonewood for his wife's body - I would recommend a guard be posted.
We did find the body of Seeker Whitlock, who had followed him, with evidence suggesting he had killed her. She has been returned for resurrection to be attempted.
There was evidence of mercenary companies in the area and the patrol were further hindered by a number of crazed and/or desperate individuals who had apparently been informed a patrol would be in the area. These included self-admitted bandits, a lay member of the Temple of Death, an apparent anarchist and several 'civilians.' Perhaps you should consider some extra patrols in this area?

Dear Freddie
Thanks for the lovely long letter - hopefully we'll find some time in the summer for us all to catch up together.
The other day I had a patrolling first - the entire group of us hopping and skipping past a pair of half-ogres! The poor things had been told to stop anyone walking down this path - so we didn't... I was kind of surprised to get the Gladiator to agree to it but a sight worth seeing.
Sadly the mission brief was a little more serious - a local innkeeper had gone missing searching for an artefact said to make wishes come true or some such. Since his dream was to restore his wife who had been animated during an undead attack three years' before, I'm sure you can imagine why the Humacti were concerned (so concerned in fact that they sent two of us and I got to meet this pleasant chap named Cecil).
Mask of the Bard - demonic possession
banditos
crazy lady - apparently a patrol made a mistake a while back and her child was killed
crazy balance priest
Take care and I hope to see you soon
Love
