so I read this article about peace activists asking Pelosi to, I dunno, stop funding the war or something. I thought one comment by a protestor was especially interesting and telling

ok, here's the thing. I don't know diddly about Darfur, I'll go to B&N and read up.
One thing I will say is... whilst we brought the war to the terrorists and terrorists protectors... I have felt a whole lot safer over here, albeit I live in Saginaw right now, and nothing would ever happen here. I feel extra safe then.
And shoot, if Bush sent a bunch of guys to Darfur and then Iraq and allies started bombing the crap out of us... people would again be like, "That darn Bush, can't do a dang thing right."
Half a dozen of one... or something. I do see that regardless of whatever Bush does, Democrats will think he should be doing something else, and call him stupid, that's their right.
But gosh golly, united we stand, and if America feels it is time to elect a President with no identity, no firm moral standing, then I will still respect the fact that he/she is President and we need to stand strong as a country and end this war of words. Because Republicans will continue to be dumbfounded and Dems will always be pissed about something, and that's the way it'll be forever.
Back to Iraq, I mean, there is really nothing we can do that will help this end well.
Darned if you do, darned if you don't. But I support the troops, they are giving their all, and if they need supplies, give them supplies. Don't protest it and then televise. It's that shee that makes us the laughing stock of the world.
(I think) foreigners see the way Dems birrade Bush and show him and the position utterly no respect, and they laugh and we become weak and divided.
Why didn't we go after these guys in 1993? I guess we should have talked with the people that hate everything American better, maybe there would be no reason for us to be over there.
I don't know.. I just want us to be safe, and I don't believe gay marriage should be legal.
Of course, after I state my opinion, the left will take the immediate opposite. and the dances continues.
why do I even bother posting, nothing i can say here will have any effect on the world.
Oh, and the economy is still doing well. One hiccup and it's going to H in a hand basket, but the rest of the time it's as supple as the ... well, it's been really supple.
meh you've got to have known for a while that what we say doesn't matter at least i can have a soapbox with my kiddies hahaha seriously though you can work some magic with a film so do something with that i'll be an extra anytime
i can't say i like us being over there but then i don't you do either i still say we should be pumping way more money into their economy money makes people happy (unfortunately) and i think that giving people roads and healthcare is the only real way to make this go better
