From the title you can pretty much guess what I've done today. Just in case you're not clever at all, here it is straight: I've been to the gym. No, not because I like to get my jog on, or build up some muscle, or because I want to lose weight because I'm really self-concious or because I want to look just great in that new dress at some Christmas party I've got planned. No, I went for the sole reason that I was extremely bored. And I had nothing else better to do. Which is sad, because I'm sixteen, and it's the holidays. And I have nothing to do.
Anyways, seeing the people down at the gym got me thinking. The thing is, you've got two basic groups of people down there. You've got the sports people, the super-fit ones with their hair slicked back and their iPods attached to their arms using some amazing proffesional-looking band, where their spandex fits them perfectly and shows off the flexing muscles. The people that can run for what seems like hours on end and never get tired, never break out a sweat, never show weakness. The gym monkeys. And then you got those that head down to the gym to lose weight, because they are concious of their bodies and want to build up muscle... You get the point. And you can pretty much guarantee that within five minutes they'll be red in the face and sweating like pigs in a sauna... Or what I imagine pigs in a sauna would look like. And me? I seem to fall into the inbetween category. The category where I'll just doss (for the older generation, mess, muck about) for a bit then do some hard work, then take the mickey out of the people I see. For example, one lady that I saw that falls clearly into the first category. Long, blonde hair slicked back into a high ponytail and kept in place with an elastic hairband with "Nike" written on it to show that she spends good money on sports equipment. Hell no, she ain't messing with us.
Also, just a quick facebook niggle. No matter how much I can relate to it, how funny/sweet/clever it is, if a fan page or group's name is not grammatically correct, I will not join.
