Summary: Wrote this after reading an article about girls getting raped at house parties in 17 magazine.  Never really wrote anything like this and I have not experienced this. Pure imagination.

Katie Henderson laughed at the joke the tall boy with brown hair in front of her made. Katie heard herself despite of the loud party music and cringed at the shrillness of her laugh. She doesn't laugh like that but she's nervous and she already finished her second beer. The boy smiled at her while Katie blushed at her previous action.

"You're adorable." He told her.

Katie blushed even harder and her smile behind her red plastic cup. "Thanks."

Katie takes a second to look over her shoulder to look at her friends. Near the corner of the crowded living room, she sees her friends smiling at her, encouraging her to keep talking to the guy. Katie flashed them a smile before turning her attention back to the boy.

"So Katie," the guy started as he looked at Katie above the rim of his white and black glasses. "How do you know Gerard?"

Katie looked Gerard, the black haired host of the party. Gerard was surrounded by a group a guys, taking shots of whiskey.

"My best friend is dating him."

The boy nodded and looked over Katie's head. "You're Shannon's friend?" He asked, his hazel eyes falling on her empty cup.

She nodded, rearranging her frilly skirt on her bare legs. Katie took a quick glance at the boy and saw him looking at her legs. Yes! She had told Shannon that the skirt trick would get any guy's attention. Katie smiled to herself before asking the boy a question.

"So, how do you know Gerard?"

The guy took a sip of his beer before answering. "He's my brother."

He kept a close eye on Katie, watching her facial expressions just like he does with anyone he tells this piece of information to. Her face was etched with surprise just like all the others.

"You're Mikey?" Katie asked, surveying the nodding boy. "Wow, I would have never guessed."

She really wouldn't have guessed under the dim light but as she looked closely at him, she noticed the familiar features between brothers. They had the same shade of pale skin although Gerard was a bit lighter. They shared the same strong jaw structure and hazel eyes but Mikey hid his eyes behind glasses. Mikey was skinner and taller than his older brother and from what Katie could gather from the hour they have talking, he was way cooler than his brother. No wonder she was nervous.

"Hey, have you ever tried Whiskey?" Mikey asked setting down his cup, beer sloshing inside. Katie shook her head, placing her empty cup next to his.

"Only beer. I figure whiskey is too strong for me." She saw him smirk and Katie had to look away to hide her blushing cheeks. He looks so cute like that. Once she turned back to face Mikey, his hand was extended to her, waiting.

"Come on, I'll let you try it in the kitchen. You'll see that whiskey isn't that bad." Mikey told her.

She looked at his hand and smiled as she took it. He led Katie through the string of loud teenagers, pulling her through a door and into a slightly less crowded kitchen. Still holding onto Katie's hand, Mikey shooed the partiers away.

"Party is in the living room. Get the hell out of the kitchen!"

The teenagers were reluctant to leave at first but they trickled out of the room, leaving Katie and Mikey alone with a pile of garbage. Mikey left Katie near the counter while he fetched the other bottle of whiskey. Katie didn't mind; her legs were getting wobbly and her vision was just a bit hazy. She blinked hard, wishing the blurriness away. When she opened her eyes, Mikey had already set down the two shot glasses and the bottle of whiskey next to her.

"You okay?" He asked, genuine concern sketched on his face.

Katie nodded, smiling at Mikey's worried expression. "Yeah, I'm okay." She moved her head to the shot glasses. "Let's start."

Mikey wasted no time after hearing get words. "Alright. Let's start with a game." He took the bottle of auburn liquid and filled Katie's glass then his. "First one to quickly drink the whiskey wins."

"So what does the winner get?" She asked, leaning on the counter.

She couldn't support herself, she felt like she was going to topple over but she was going to wait it out because she was with Mikey. The tall boy smirked again and picked up both shot glasses giving one to Katie.

"I guess we have to see about that."

Taking the glass, Katie watched Mikey as he counted down from three. The countdown ended and Katie placed the glass to her lips, threw her head back downing the liquor. Once all the whiskey flowed down her throat, leaving a burning sensation down its trail, Katie's head snapped forward, coughing.

"Jesus... That shit burns." she told in between coughs and chuckles. She heard Mikey chuckle as she put down her empty glass next to Mikey's half filled glass.

"Looks like you won." He told her. He was standing near her, his face just hovering a few inches above hers. "Hope you like your prize." he muttered before pressing his lips on top of hers, kissing Katie.

Katie's heart fluttered inside her ribcage, ecstatic that Mikey likes her. A giggle escaped her lips before she could stop it when Mikey pulled away. There was a smile plastered on his face as he filled her glass again.

"Oh, I don't think I want anymore." Katie told him, her fingers pushing against her temple. She could feel a headache coming on.

"It's not so bad the second time." Mikey pressed, handing her the full glass. He took a sip of his own whiskey as Katie took hers.

"Really?" She questioned.

He watched her intently, his nod not breaking his concentration. Katie clenched her eyes shut and downed her second drink and this time it was tolerable but it still burned her throat.

"Better?" Mikey asked.

"Sort of." Katie told. She leaned all of her weight on the kitchen counter, supporting herself. Before she knew Mikey was handing her a full glass again and she drunk it like it was an old habit. Three more shots and Katie had to put a stop to it. "Arrggh. That's it. I think I’m getting drunk."

Katie laughed as she hit Mikey on the arm. She had no idea why she did that but once that once her hand touched Mikey's shoulder, she grabbed for balance.

"Whoa," Mikey laughed, holding on to Katie's arms to support her. "You must really be drunk. You need to lie down. Here, I'll put you in my room."

Mikey slid an arm around her waist, using his strength to hold her up and led her up the back stairs from the kitchen. Katie stumbled over her feet as much as she tried to concentrate on her steps. The hallway was blurry and she really couldn't make out where she was. She heard a door opening and she was surrounded by darkness. Mikey set Katie gently down on his bed, watching her clutch her head in the dim light.

"Sorry for being such a light weight." She said, lying back on his bed. Katie's eyes drooping to a close, feeling drowsy as she waited for Mikey to say something.

"No worries." he finally said after he heard the rustling of fabric, metal and drawer cabinets. "How did you feel about the whiskey?"

He was closer to her than when he first answered, Katie noticed. His voice sounded nearer and Katie smiled at her accuracy when the bed creaked and dipped low. She was about to open her eyes but Mikey pressing her lips to hers again kept them shut. Katie's hands locked behind his neck and she didn't seem to mind his hands running up and down her arms.

She smiled when Mikey pulled away from her lips, carefully pulling apart her hands and lifting her arms above her head. Katie's fingertips grazed the metal bars of his bed and she kept them there because she didn't have the strength to move. She heard the sound of metal tinkling above her but Katie couldn't bring herself to open her eyes. She felt cold leather slide underneath her wrists and that's when her eyes started to flutter open.

"Wait, what's happening?"

In an instant, Katie's wrists were tightly bound together, the leather bind cutting into her skin with a pain that made her clench her teeth.

"Ow. Mikey, ah, this hurts." She pleaded, twisting her wrists to try to get free.

"Oh, really?" Mikey replied, his tone lines with the kind of sarcasm that was reserved for a stupid joke.

That was when Katie's heart started to pump with dread. She started to squirm against the leather binds, thrashing her body against the bed but a heavy weight appeared on her stomach. Through her half open eyes and hazy filter, she can make out Mikey hovering above her, tying her wrists to the bars roughly.

"Ow." She said quietly, noticing the hot tears that were sliding down her cheeks.  Katie pulled at her wrists but the leather dug into her skin every time. She knew what was happening, the realization hit her late and hand in her intoxicated state.

Mikey, the sweet boy she was talking to downstairs at the party, Gerard's little brother, the guy she was innocently trying to flirt with, is going to rape her. The feel of Mikey's denim jeans felt horrible on Katie's bare legs and she clenched her eyes tight as she felt Mikey kiss her lips again. Katie's lips were pressed together tightly as Mikey continued to kiss her. Mikey stopped after a few minutes when he noticed she wasn't kissing back. He let out an aggravated sigh as he lifted himself off of her. Feeling the weight on her chest disappear, Katie opened her mouth for a gasp of air and a loud sob escaped.

"Please Mikey, don't this." Katie pleaded. She opened her eyes and lifted her head to see Mikey at the base of his bed. The room was dark, the lamp on Mikey's drawer displayed strips of light in the room. Katie could make out Mikey working on the buttons on his jeans. Once Mikey zipped down his fly, Katie's eyes became blurry again and a sudden strike of pain spread through her head. Her head flopped back onto the bed, not handling her horrible headache. The pain in her head took over, her senses not intact. She almost didn't feel Mikey's hand go up her skirt, ripping off her underwear and opening her legs.

"No. Please." she pleaded, louder now that she can't even hear herself over her pounding headache.

"You guys always beg." Mikey whispered into her ear, pushing her brown hair away.

He pulled down his jeans and underwear and made sure that Katie wasn't struggling. He lay on top of her, seeing her face scrunch up with disgust. He smirked and grabbed her by the cheeks before kissing her and shoving his tongue into her mouth. Katie could taste the whiskey they both drank not long ago on his tongue and she tried hard to get away. Tears were now streaming down her cheeks as Mikey entered her.

She's only had sex once with her ex boyfriend. When she was talking to Mikey, she actually felt that he could be another person she could have trusted enough to go all the way with. Boy, how she wishes she could take it back now. Her surroundings were foggy, the dark room fading in and out of her vision. Her chest felt tight and she gasped for breath as she felt her mind powering down.

The feel of Mikey’s lips on her neck felt like hot jabs at her skin and his fingers that were gripping her hips felt like pricks digging into the bone. Mikey’s grunts filled Katie’s ear, the noise making Katie shiver with disgust. Her mouth was open, gasping for the air her chest desperately needed. His hard thrusts made Katie dizzy, little dots of color spayed against her line of vision. It wasn’t that long until Katie passed out underneath Mikey.

Katie’s eyes fluttered open what seems to be hours later. Her head was pounding with a horrible pain that seemed to get progressively worse. She drew her hands to her forehead, pushing at her temples as if the pain would go away with the touch of her fingertips. The dark room she was blurred by her foggy vision. She blinked hard, the haze disappearing from her eye sight and she rubbed her eyes. As she moved her wrists, the skin stretched and stung. There were two red lines running across the flesh, little beads of blood oozing out from the thin scars. There was a dull ache in between her legs and there was muffled music against her ear buds.

The party is still going. Katie realized.  I’m still here.

Once she recognized her surroundings and saw her underwear on the floor, her sobs started up in her throat making her chest heave for air.

“I was raped.” She muttered quietly to herself, remembering herself what had happened.

Her chest felt tight as tears spilled down her face. “I was raped.”

Her voice was quivering as she said the words out loud. Small choking sounds came out of her as she rose to her feet. Her legs wobbled underneath her, threatening to give at any moment. Katie moved forward two steps before she collapsed to her knees. The rough carpet picked at Katie’s skin but she didn’t seem to notice. She wrapped her arms around her waist, holding herself as she shook violently. She doesn’t know how long she has been kneeling on the floor but her eyes were stinging and hot as the door in front of her opened. Bright light spilled on top of her, blinding her temporarily. Through Katie’s warbled vision, she made out the tall boy standing in front of her. The sight of him pulled out a sob from her throat.

Even though Katie couldn’t see it, Mikey rolled his eyes at the girl on the ground. Katie heard his sneakers shuffling against the carpet, moving towards her. She tried to scuffle away from him but her knees burned against the hard carpet as she slid back. Her breathing was labored as her chest burned with every intake of air. Katie felt strong hands grip her arms and pull her up to her feet that were nothing more than dead weight.

“Jesus. Snap out of it.” She heard Mikey say. His annoyed tone was like a surprise smack to the face. Why would he be mad at her? She was the one who was raped, the one who was taken advantage of. Katie couldn’t stop the tears that started up again.

“Don’t act like you didn’t want it.” He told her, his words lined with poison. Katie blinked away the tears and stared into the hazel eyes she now hated.

“Wanted this?! I Wanted this?!” Katie yelled. She immediately felt an after shock of pan rip through her head. She clenched her eyes from the pain but clenched her teeth in anger. “I never asked you to rape me.”

She said this at a lower volume then her previous yelling but the same amount of hatred was still present. Her vision was clear now; the tears dry on her cheeks. She saw a smirk grow on Mikey’s lips, sending shivers down her spine.

“Well, not out loud.”

Katie was truly confused. “What are you talking about?” She questioned noting that his smirk revealed the evil he posses.

“Rearranging your skirt so I can look at your legs,” Mikey explained as his left arms wrapped its self around her waist as his right hand slithered up her bare thigh. “Drinking when you could have just walked away. You didn’t have to come upstairs with me.”

Smiling, he pressed his lips to Katie’s forehead. She recoiled away from his touch, backing up against the foot of the bed, falling onto the dirty mattress. Katie heard Mikey chuckle above her as her head reeled. All of what he said was true. She could have walked away when he was pouring the drinks. She did try to get him to like her with all of her flirting. Maybe she did want all this. Her tears lined her vision and they threatened to fall.

“But I said no.” she whispered. The tears fell as Mikey’s feet scuffled on the carpet towards her.

“Hey Katie, your friends are probably wondering if you scored or not. You might want to tell them what you know they will actually believe.”

Through her watery vision, Katie could see Mikey smiling. He nodded his head towards the door, signaling her to leave.

She doesn’t remember how but she was now standing on her wobbly legs at the base of the stairs, staring at her friends that were laughing on the other side of the house. Katie continued to stare at her friends as Mikey words replayed in her head. “Tell them something you know they will actually believe.” She saw Shannon turn away from the other girls to look at her. Shannon gave Katie a huge smile from her place on the couch, waving over her friend. Katie walked slowly through the string of bodies, cooperating with her shaking legs. Once she was near her friends, she heard the cheers and whistling start.

“Go Katie! Did you put the moves on him when you got upstairs?” Shannon asked her as Katie lowered herself gently onto the couch.

“Why of course she did.” Michelle said before Katie had opened her mouth. “She is Katie: Seduction Master.”

Her friends laughed again as heart grew tighter. Katie’s friends wouldn’t believe her if she told them the truth. They would think that she wanted it and she was just telling a horrible lie to make Mikey look bad. She stood up from the couch, quickly excusing herself with tears in her eyes. She could hear her friends calling after her as she rushed through the kids and out the front door.

Katie reached her house in ten minutes and raced up to her room as she burst through the front door. She ignored the alarmed calls from her parents, slamming her bedroom door shut. She ripped off her clothes and walked into her bathroom, turning on the shower. Katie desperately wanted to get the dirt, sweat and alcohol off of her skin. She wanted to get out of her skin.

Katie got in the shower, the freezing cold water pounding her skin. She shivered as she sunk down onto the ceramic tub. The water fell over her, seeping in through her hair and droplets rolling down her face. She closed her eyes and sobbed. Behind her closed eyelids, her mind replayed those awful moments as if it were a movie. She unwillingly remembered the sting of the whiskey as it went down her throat, the way she felt when he first kissed her, the pounding headache she had when she was led up the stairs and the horrible skin to skin contact she didn’t want. She opened her eyes quickly, blinking away the bad memories. Katie started to rub at her skin, her nails scratching at every inch of flesh she could touch and digging her nails in at the skin that he touched.

Katie’s pale skin was red and freezing when she got out of the shower. She clothed herself and wrapped herself in her blanket to keep warm. Tears were still flowing down her cheeks as she rocked back and forth, consoling herself.

“I have to tell someone.” She muttered aloud. “Someone is bound to believe me.” She cried harder when a thought popped into her head. “No one is ever going to believe me.”

She cried herself to sleep with her blanket tightly wrapped around her. Once she woke up, a dull pounding rippled through her head. Her eyes were puffy from crying all night and she shivered under her blanket. She glanced at her right, catching a glimpse of her computer screen which had the Google homepage occupying it. She stared at it before sauntering over to it. She took the keyboard and typed the first words that came to mind into the space bar: RAPE VICTIM.

She searched through the many links, clicking on the web pages that held guides for victims other than the countless news stories. She had read the advice off of sites but she till had questions. Was she the only person in the world stupid enough to get raped by someone she knew? Was she dumb enough to not tell the police? Katie was shaking from the sobs she kept inside. Going back to the Google search page and click the link that read ‘Statistics.’

The facts shocked her and as she read each one, not feeling so alone in the world, she neared the bottom of the page where they provided a phone number and a private chat room where victims can talk to a professional. Katie let out a loud sob again but this time it was out of relief. She now has someone to talk to. Maybe they’ll see that it wasn’t her fault and even though she did like him, she didn’t want it to go that far. She clicked the link that took her to the chat room, too scared to breathe. She took a deep breath to still her erratic heart and told herself that she said no; she wasn’t the one at fault. Katie was relived that the professional told her that she didn’t do anything wrong. Mikey was the one at fault. Katie knew that, with all the information she gathered and the advice the professional was giving her, one day she will recover from this.
