Me rite good, speak English proper.

How does one prove in writing that one has excellent oral communication skills?  It's one of the key criteria on a job application here.  Okay, so written are included there too, and I think the application itself should mean you would be classed as having excellent written skills ... but oral?  How do you know if someone has excellent oral skills unless you actually speak to them?

Anyway, moving on ... I'm not feeling as good as I should be at the moment, for some reason.  Tomorrow is the last day of my final block placement, it's only just over a week until my 25th birthday and therefore Phantom-ness, and Elizabeth told me today that she'll pass me (just, admittedly, but a pass is a pass nonetheless), I see no reason I would fail any of my other classes, so I'm not sure why I'm quite so down as I am, but there you are.  I'm sure things'll get better.  Going to have some fun with the kids tomorrow: just looking up some games that I can play with them for an hour or so after lunch.  Gonna make up a parcel for 'Pass the Parcel', and am just trying to decide what else we could play.  Maybe I'll get them to suggest some games.

Block placement could have been better, but as I've said, I shall pass, and that's all that matters to me right now.  I've had some fun, and the kids have been good.  Elizabeth thinks that they genuinely like me, so that's something.  So it's definitely not my way with the kids themselves that's troubling my marks.  But anyway.  I've had fun.  I went to the cricket with the 5/6s on Friday, the Kanga 8s that the school was playing in, because they were short.  I got terribly sunburnt, but it seems to have cleared up now.  Initially my face went totally red and my eyes went all puffy and sore, but I now think that it may have been a reaction to the cream I was using, because as soon as I switched creams the redness went and the swelling went down very quickly.  So I'm almost back to normal now, aside from a bit of peeling, and even that's not bad.

By the way, for anyone O/S who doesn't know (if you care), Kevin Rudd won the election. (YAY!)

I had to completely restore my computer the other night (ie back to factory settings) because I think it caught a virus that I couldn't find and some of my programs were going wonky.  So I spent the next couple of nights transferring everything to discs and I'm now in the process of re-installing and re-transferring everything.  I'm getting there, but it may take a little while.  I have the most important things re-done, and I'm still working on it.  Unfortunately this means I've lost all my e-mail contacts and messages because I had to re-install my mail program, so it's lost everything, including all the lovely filters I had set up.  I can still read role-play messages on the group site, so Steph, there's a post coming, I swear, but Megan, could you e-mail me, please?

And I think that's it from me for tonight.  Think I might head off and watch some television or something, maybe keep working on getting everything back onto my computer.  Seems to have fixed it, though -- the memory was going down by itself without my installing anything, but it's all good now.  Just a pain to have to re-do everything.  Ah well.  Nighty-night for now, my dearies.
