Just because people in the private sector are getting screwed doesn't mean that it's OK to screw people with government jobs.

If people in the public sector still have inexpensive health insurance, the response should be "how come I don't have that?", not "we're going to take that away from you so you can be miserable too."

It would be interesting to compare CEO salaries (which are now hundreds of times more than the average worker's salary, instead of merely dozens) and see if the amounts could be reduced to a multiplier of dozens again and provide better health insurance for the average Joe or Jane.

The math might not work, but I would really like to know.
