oh, forgot to say. most christians (hmm.. most "people?") know the basic story of christ and when he was crucified, who pontious pilate is, rah rah.. but seeing some things recently on the history channel, namely "who murdered jesus christ" (something like that title), REALLY helped me follow this movie better. that show talked about pilate's intentions, his hate for the jews, how the crowd influenced him, caiphes' intentions, as well as judas. so if you can catch it before you go, it would help :)
