congrats to my lissa and her ray!
hello.. im back in nc after going home for ilissa's wedding. it was a really, really beautiful autumn day, and there was NO drama, unlike the bachelorette party and bridal shower :x heh. i'll probly post some bach. party pics later too, but here's some from the wedding. john couldnt go, but i made a video for him, and got lots of cute pics. i tried go get jesika or wendy to come as my date instead, but they both had to work too. my mom came to the ceremony to see me though, so she videoed me, the other bridesmaids, and ilissa walking down the aisle, its really nice. i did a toast (and winged it, no notes, mind you!) i said "ive known ilissa a short time, but she knows about me, i like things - feelings, emotions, how people feel about me - to be very clear. i also make it very clear how i feel about people.. in the past year and a half, its become clear to me what a devoted friend ilissa is. and ive found, that's really the key ingredient to true friendship. something else has become clear to me this weekend, as many of you know, my boyfriend couldnt be here [jesika says im so cheezy for saying this lol], but the heartache that comes with his absense only tells me how much i really love him. so, i raise my glass to the happy couple, my wish for them is the devotion of true friendship, and the clarity to how much you love each other that comes while you are apart." aw.
ok, so this pic.. obviously the top is me, then me after i caught the bouquet (w00t).. then me having the garter put on me by a 60 year old man :x the thing is, all the groomsman "let" this 93 year old man, who WAS single heh (probly widowed), get it, but his son did the garter for me. errr, yea. but, i was a good sport. then its ilissa getting all up on michelle. that was hot. she was such a cool bride. heh. the bottom row is obviously ilissa and ray in SUCH a cute shot, then bill and ana-ligia (she's from brazil, she's so cool), and bill was my partner walking down the aisle. the last pic is ilissa and tj, the best man. ana-ligia, who goes by li (lee), and i were the first ones to the bridal suite to get changed, and i had to change my underwear heh, but the bathroom floor was all wet, and i was like, errr, i need to get naked and she goes "im from brazil, do you think i care" heh heh (cause yea, if you're cultured, you know what la carnival is).
another cute thing that happened today.. well ilissa and i are ALWAYS asked if we're sisters.. so today i was getting reprints of my pics, and theres a real cute one of me and her.. i was buying a frame for it, and so i held the pic up to some frames to see which one i liked best, and the guy goes "you made a pretty bride" heh, and i was like "noooo, this one's me, the bride is my friend, but we're always asked if we're sisters".. i can see if like, it was a pic of JUST her and someone thought it was me, but i was in the picture TOO. heh heh. come on, we dont look THAT much alike. i shoulda just said "aww, why thank you" and taken the bridal-attention :D
