This actually pissed me off more than the two screaming potheads on the train ride home.
Usually, when I ride the train, I see at least one poster from a university med center, advertising drug trials for treating things like bulimia, schizophrenia, and depression. I always wonder about the people who sign up for these trials. I worry about what they do when the trial is over. Pharmacology is always a tricky situation, especially when dealing with psych disorders.
Today, the poster was for a drug to treat depression. This one listed the common symptoms of depression. Someone had added a symptom to the list: "dehydration." Underneath that, they scrawled "Hydration will cure depression!"
