Ok, so there are things in this world that make me quite inexplicably and irrationally angry. And, in the spirit of getting to know myself a little better, I've decided to put some of these things under the spotlight. Lovely rant, darling. B-but what's this about 1977??! When dentists were free and nobody had yet learned to say Bush Blair Poodle Iraq?? Could it be cunningly disguised ageism, I ask myself??

Seriously, when I look around me (which I occasionally do), I sometimes wonder if time has really gone backwards since the 70s. But no, time has been true to its usual capriciousness and gone forwards and backwards at once. Oh well, that's dialectics!

Nothing against 1977. I was born then, after all. I just hate the lack of introspection among the mainstream left - particularly the dabblers, who aren't really versed in any kind of real theory, just knee-jerk reactions that make them no better than the typical daily mail reader.

aah, soon I hope. Though rusty the poet has been somewhat eclipsed by rusty the speechwriter. Watch this space. Who are you, by the way?
