He is eight years old and wow, I never really thought about it, but that's old for a dog. But I still call him my puppy and my baby and my little Winston, cuz he looks like a baby! And he'll prolly only live four more years at the absolute most. If his heart doesn't kill him first.
Congestive heart failure. My little baby had congestive heart failure and is hooked up to an IV and for awhile couldn't breathe on his own.
He's gonna be okay, but he'll never be better. And each time he has an episode, he won't bounce back quite as well. Or maybe not at all. I can't live without my little baby.
