First and foremost, im effing happy that singapore football team r thru to the finals of the ASEAN Football Championship. YAY. It was the best football experience of my life with the rest of the 55 000 fanatics at the stadium n what a beautiful sight it was. =)) it was worth the time and money to be there. N i pity those hu cudnt get the tickets cos it was sold-out by matchday. But thanks mally <3 for getting us the tixs early. hahaha. lazy me. And to win the match via penalty-shootout was nerve-wrecking as hell la. I was watching the shoot-outs thru the gaps of my fingers while covering my face. hahahaha. thank god we survived the scare, albeit by the thinnest of luck. Singapore's last penalty taker, Shi Jiayi, was damn lucky that his penalty got thru after hitting the keeper's body. Cos dat could have been saved la!!! i think he shud haf been subsituted earlier on cos in my opinion, he was the weakest link in the team. grrr. but god was on our side n lucky his shot went it. phew! n when Malaysia's last penalty was saved by Lionel Lewis, the whole Kallang roared and erupted wif joy. I was jumping on my seat n i gave a high-5 to the person behind me. hahaha. Soccer unites the community huh?? but spare a thought for the malaysia player whose penalty was saved. lol. he's a youngster hu just got an exit ticket for his team n i bet he must be bloody demoralised. credits to the malaysians but im proud of the singapore boys hu did a commendable although at times their play was pathetic, which i tink was because of the wet n slippery pitch. If singapore had lost the match, i doubt the fans (including myself) would be coming back to support them for a long, long time but u cannot their enthusiasm, perseverance and commitment. they were brilliant to come bounce back after a being a goal down.
on the other hand, i reli do hope it wun rain 2mr n wednesday so that the pitch wud b dry enuf n they can play free-flowing football. n after watching last nite's other semifinal between thailand n vietnam (they drew 0-0 but thais won 2-0 on aggregate), i tink singapore have a chance to land the title of ASEAN kings again. we have to win this wednesday at Kallang and hope they will be able to draw at thailand. nutting's impossible man. rite? haha. i haf a test to study for this coming thursday but i dun care. I will still be there at Kallang to cheer on the team dis wednesday. hahaha.
