The Barrowman, etc.
~I was just listening to a Radio Scotland podcast while I finish up here, and what should happen but the "bi-dialectical" John Barrowman came on using his Scottish accent. ::dies giddily::
~ John Barrowman
performing "Your Song" accompanied by a
pretty girl on the piano during the
Children in Need telethon. Bonus Terry Wogan at the end!
And if you are interested in Barrowman at all and haven't seen this - highly recommended: the
Putting It Together blooper. Carol Burnett is her wonderful self, and John Barrowman is the endearingly hyperactive 8 year old boy he never grew out of. My mom liked it a lot. :)
~ I can hardly believe this, but
it's being said season 2 of Torchwood is going to start on BBC America on January 26. That's a turnaround time of practically zero. I can't even find a solid date for when in January it's premiering on BBC.
Pushing Daisies
~ This came up while I was teaching the vocabulary word "absurd" and I thought Pushing Daisies fans would appreciate it. Not spoilery unless you don't know the premise of the show.
It's the "attractive and romantic heart-shaped frame" that really sells it. Also, I kind of want a colliedor russell-poo.
Have a good week, everybody! Let me know if I need to throw more bricks. I'm ready, but hopeful that the only thing sailing through the air will be cornbread muffins.
