Fixing Bikes and Breaking Hearts

So there is a rally coming up in SF in September. I am and my fellow creatures are hard at work planning and plotting a scheming. One of the many tasks i have on my plate is to prepare the way for all those out of towners. This includes organizing housing, and getting every one of the mopeds in my garage running solid enough to live through the rally as a loner bike. Most of what's holding me back is parts, but I worked eight hours saturday and sunday, as well as a few hours after work last week, and i got many projects done. This is the list:

Orange 50v: Fixed spark, scavenged tires and cleaned carburetor, started bike for the first time. The rear tire has a slow leak, i need to attach an exhaust, and swap the carburetor back onto it. I may trade this moped for two Honda hobbits, or give it to my friend Jessica. I can't sell it because i got it for free.

Concodre XKE: Rebuilt the engine for the second time to swap out the main drive gear and replace the piston. mounted exhaust, jetted carb, fixed lights. Now it runs well, but stll has a slight oil leak, curse my luck. Now I can sell it to my roommmate.

Honda 90cc Motorcycle: Replaced condensor with VW unit, rewired new rectifier and charged battery and set timing and point gap. There is still a arc between the points, but the bike runs well now. It even has lights! Now i need to take it down to the DMV and get a plate for it, and install a light switch.

Maintland's Motobecane: Maitland came up from Santa Cruz on Sunday and traded two stock moby pipes for a variator upgrade. I did that and fixed his stripped crank threads. We both left happy.

Elliot's Red 50v: Rebuild his 40t engine with a two weight variator and 12v ignition stator. Doesn't have spark yet, but that shouldn't be hard with all the spare parts i have lying around.

Dave's Blue Peugeot: Helped dave get his Michelins onto his peugeot rims. We only the tube once.

Still to come:
-Machine sprocket to mount to the three speed puch's rims, Hook up rear brakes, get an estoril or biturbo exhaust, make a bracket fror it, jet the 17mm bing correctly, possibly install metrakit.

-Rebuild Dave's Red motobecane with new steering headset. replace top end, rebuild pulley assembly, make faster and more fun to ride.

-Degunk Akiko's fuel system as much as possible and get running well.

-Investigate Green Peugeot 103sp and get running. Spark is the only concern.

-Fix motor mount on VLX to stop the horrbile rattling. Replace pipe with stock exaust.

-Wait for parts from France. In two weeks i will get the parts i need to make my kitted reed valve motobecane a fully function terror. Beware.

-Reed valve parts from Sydey, Australia. With some more spare parts, i can get another reed valve engine together.

I think that's it. I have three weeks.
