So in case some of you don't read comics, or don't read this sort of comic, or don't know what a comic is, or think comics are for dorks, and don't think you're a dork, you should pay attention to this.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, Vols. 1, 2 and the upcoming 3 are great. Great great great.
I'm not much at reviewing comics, mostly because I never do it, but i read a lot of them, and I know what I like. I like Brian Lee O'Malley's Scott Pilgrim series. The art is good, the scripting is original and funny and very engaging. The comic is about Scott Pilgrim and his adventures living in a Canada. He's poor, unemployed, in a not-so-good band, and kinda foolish. The book starts out like a typical indie romantic and funny comic, but then takes a turn for the interesting. For example, Scott gets in street fighter like fights with people. When he beats them they turn into coins or an item. Everyone thinks this in normal. Most people don't have street fighter like powers, but many do.
Anyway, check out www.scottpilgrim.com for more info and previews of all three volumes.
P.S. Vol Two includes a recipe for Vegan Shepherd's pie which is really quite good. I wish all cook books were comics.
