"I'm out here a thousand miles from my home,
Walkin' a road other men have gone down.
I'm seein' your world of people and things,
Your paupers and peasants and princes and kings.
Hey, hey Woody Guthrie, I wrote you a song
'Bout a funny ol' world that's a-comin' along.
Seems sick an' it's hungry, it's tired an' it's torn,
It looks like it's a-dyin' an' it's hardly been born."
Sometimes things just don't go you're way. Funny thing is that this time I did not see it coming. I bought this little '64 Honda motorcycle a while back, and I ever since I met this girl a week ago I've working and planning to get it in good running shape so I could take it across the bay bridge into Berkeley. Today she told me there was someone else, but that it hadn't been for sure until yesterday.
Well, I got the damn Honda running anyways, too little, too late.
Things aren't so bad. I like my job, I like my moped gang, I like my home.
