I think because it's so hard, they're finding it uncomfortable to play. Reol seems to be having an especially bad time.

That might be useful! I think the strange shape of the 'Lego' hurts their paws.

It hurts my feet too as well, so I can sympathize. The poor things. I can hardly blame them for deciding your laundry is more comfortable. Diva has preferred my lap since the change.
