Being alive

schedule change:

i swapped "oceanagraphic field technique" for "field experience in marine science"
seems like that would have made more sense in the first place, eh?

that class bumped my theater class out of my schedule and with the program being as shit-tastic as it is, i just decided to go ahead and take japanese 1. idk. i havent ever really explored languages that weren't germanic or latin derived so it should be a very interesting class.

i guess theater out here just wasn't meant to be. : / which makes me kind of really sad.

in other news, the guys in the next room decided to have a Super Smash Bros tournament tonight. while i'm not the best at the game, i was under the impression that i didnt suck that badly. apparently this wasn't the case. i got creamed haaaardcore. which is totally fine by me. this drunk girl came in a little later though and asked to play, and they let her. but then she won. and we were all like "...qua le phuq?" she responded by vomiting. guess buying those clorox wipes was a good idea after all.

also, i seem to have finaly made a couple of friends. a couple of the IVE kids invited me over to one of their apartments and we made curry and hung out for a while. it was a pretty good time. and i got an opportunity to brag about nate for the first time since i've been here. and braaag i did. i had them listen to a couple of tracks from SBS and by the time being alive was over one of them was actually a little teary-eyed. way to go nate. making those girls cry again. : ) ; )

it felt really good to be out with people again. it felt like a lot of the pressure was off, even though there really wasnt any pressure to begin with. I'm really greatful to have love and support from back home, especially from nate, and i dont think i'd be able to function out here without it. I promise never to take that for granted.

so ya.

pretty full day.
