Well I'm back from work...now writing in here taking a break from writing my assignment in Torts Law.
The assignment is about a mentally retarded chick who is sueing the doctor who told her mother that the mother did not have rubella. It turns out the mother did have rubella and the chick is disabelled to a catastrophic degree. The basis of the whole issue is, that had the mother known she had rubella, she would have terminated the pregnancy, but, due to the negligent information passed on from the doctor, she had the child who is now mentally disabeled. She is now sueing for damages.
Pretty difficult topic hey...
At work two things happened that are worth mentioning. One guy said to me he would contact his solicitor due to the security guard threatening to kick him out...whatever buddy! *rolls eyes and laughs*
Antoher guy hit the tray I carry and it went flying, and he decided to have a go at me saying it was my fault and I should have known it was going to happen. For the first time in my life I stood up for myself and it felt fuckin fantastic. I said "Excuse me?" he said "You should have known it was going to happen!" and I said "Who the fuck do you think you are mate? FUCK OFF!" and he backed away...that's the good thing about working where i work...if someone crosses you and you rip into them, they run away...cause they dont expect staff to go off at them. It would be different in a retail store, but in the bar scene, you can rip into them. My boss congratulated me and the other bartender gave me a shot of Sambucca as positive reinforcement. HAHA
So at the momment im getting my assignment done, as I have been invited out to see "Dirty Laundry" - never heard of them, from my mates at work. It will be good to let it all go and just have a good time with some pretty cool people at last!
