You Are 50% Normal
While some of your behavior is quite normal...
Other things you do are downright strange
You've got a little of your freak going on
But you mostly keep your weirdness to yourself

There was something so pleasant about that phase
Even your emotions had an echo
In so much space"
What's Your 2006 Summer Anthem? This week:
* My boyfriend was robbed and assaulted at work. They took his money and the store's money and hit him in the face a few times, but he is alright. We went out and bought mace/pepper spray stuff, so he has a legal, non-job-threatening way of fighting back should anything like that happen in the future. And he got the guy who hit him put in jail for felonious armed robbery.
* I was told I had to get 48 hours of volunteer work done by next week (why yes, that is physically impossible without dropping out of therapy and volunteering at three seperate places because nobody needs that much work done right now...)
* I volunteered at my youngest sister's former elementary school's office for 7 1/2 hours, doing stuff like shredding paper and putting up bulletin boards in the teacher's lounge. It didn't make me feel like I was helping anybody but the office secretary. But, still, it's better than sitting around doing nothing (especially since they have air conditioning).
* We found out our new a/c will be installed next Wednesday or Thursday if all goes as planned. In the meantime, the humidity has kicked in so our swamp cooler doesn't do a damn thing. In the middle of the night, at the coolest part of the night, the temperature in my house is 85-95 degrees, depending on what room you're in (and yes, mine would be the hottest part of the house...).
* We found out the volunteer requirements were not 48 hours done by next week, but 24 hours done by the end of July and then the rest made up by the end of the year. Which means, thankfully, when I got severely ill from the heat this morning (i.e. heat exhaustion symptoms started and as a result I am now severely dehydrated, to word it as nicely as possible) and didn't go volunteer at the food shelter like I'd planned, that I am not going to lose my home over it.
* Got a letter from a relative in CA, wanting to put this stock that my now-deceased great aunt (or something like that) bought me upon my birth, into my name instead of her being the custodian of it. Which is great in theory, except that putting it in my name will screw up my ACCCHS and food stamps, as they will expect me to sell it outright in order to pay my medical/food bills. Which would be idiotic, because it is only worth about 550 bucks right now, and will raise dramatically if I keep it and reinvest my dividends in more shares of stock quarterly. It is stock in a very good, well established company that has gone up steadily since my birth and shows no signs whatsoever of going down.
* Started playing Anarchy Online again. It's a great stress reliever. I just have to soak myself down before I can sit at the computer for any significant amount of time.
* Finally went grocery shopping. Went to Sprouts. Got some good stuff. I'll post it in receipt voyuer.
* Another wildfire started, just north of my favorite nearby place, New River. Why are all the places I like either going down in water or going up in flames?
Next week:
* More volunteering. I start collating packets of information and putting files together for the beginning of school (August 15th). I love doing that kind of thing, so it should be better than it's been so far.
* My best friend goes in for surgery and may find out upon waking from it that she has cancer or is infertile. I'm very concerned for her and want to help in any way I can, but there's not much I can do other than hope and pray.
* Brandon is working for the next 9 days straight, which both sucks for him, especially after just having been through a traumatic experience, and makes it difficult for me to organize rides to and from volunteering and the hospital my best friend is going to be in (but I will make it there come "hell or high water").
* I will have to put major work into CALMING THE FUCK DOWN! I have so much anxiety this week it's not even funny. And it takes a good amount of energy on a constant basis to keep from being unbearably irritable because of the heat.
