i wrote this letter for my friends, and i decided to share it here with you beautiful people. ♥
You are all beautiful, even if you don't believe you are.
I have been where you are. I have called myself fat, ugly, stupid, and worthless. I have hated and loathed myself. I have told myself that I am not pretty.
These are all lies, and these are the lies that we all tell ourselves.
We are all beautiful. You, me. Every girl is beautiful, even if she doesn't see it (yet).
You are not judged by the layer of fat between your skin and bones (by the people who matter). You are not judged by the shape of your nose or the curve of your hips (by the people who love you the most). You are not judged by your complexion or your hair style (by the God that created you and cares about you).
I know that it's hard to live in this world that tries to tell you that you have to look a certain way to be beautiful. But don't listen to those people, those magazines, those voices in your head. You're beautiful just the way you are. The people who love you think you're beautiful no matter what.
And this may not matter or mean much, but I think you're all beautiful, too.
Don't give up. Don't give in. Be yourself. Be beautiful in your own way.
Because, in the end, the only person who can really tell you if you're beautiful or not is you.
Love,
A girl who finally, finally realizes that yes, yes, she is beautiful
