Her mouth was sweet, strawberry-fresh, and coloured every bit as bright as the fruit Wakka had only heard about but never tasted. It was too hot in Besaid, too hot and moist, to grow them, and they were delicacy of Bevelle, something only the priests could enjoy.
That didn't stop him from catching Rikku up against the side of airship wall, his hand on her wrists as he pinned her. His lips descended on hers, his eyes locked in her gaze as she made a noise of surprise.
“Wakka, what-?”
“Always wondered what strawberries tasted like,” he whispered.
