In bringing Armorsmith from 0 to 205, I gained 1.2m exp at a cost of about 250k in mats (not counting training fee, or the fact it's one of the more expensive crafts). Then made all that money back + 500k more within two days, crafting for crit procs on Worthy Titanium. I found a pretty nifty guide for costs here too: http://www.aionsource.com/forum/general-guides/72094-leveling-crafting-work-orders.html
Though I did it slightly differently than the OP recommends, I used every work order I could for more exp & gift items. Ended up costing about the same.
You can potentially go from 0 to 399 in six different crafts, and I'd imagine that'd be worth around... 20-30m or so exp? Not to mention the huge benefit of having capped crafts. Though, that's probably not practical at all to do considering the costs, training, and time it'd take.
But, you could probably go from 0-100 in a few crafts without too much difficulty, for a few mil exp and few hundred k in costs.
Only thing is, make sure you have something else to do in the mean time. Crafting is so incredibly easy, but time-consuming and monotonous. If you're busy with other things, it's perfect for multi-tasking as it requires like 1% of your attention. I personally love this aspect, though if you have nothing else to do I'd imagine it'd be just about insufferable.
