being a paladin since day one of tbc i stopped worrying about meters when i hit BT. There is just to much raid damage going around to keep up with the shamans and priests and GOOD druids. So if your top of the meters they failed but if your target stayed alive you did your job. If you have to heal in sunwell you'll start using hl a lot more but for now fol more or less is the way to go except maybe for BB and parts on illidan.

GD from nihilum put it best about paladin healing.

"Healers job is different. We need to keep people alive or we fail. I'd go as far as to say that the more healingspells you have as a healer, the easier it gets to do your job - keep people alive. Someone might say that its harder to control 8 spells than 2, no it might take a slightly longer time to learn to control your spells but it's not hard, and after that your healing is easier than for someone with more limited healingspells.

Obviously I'm talking about paladins limited healingspells. Flash of light and Holy light. I mean yes simple encounters is no problem healing with fol or hl, but what you really need in sunwell for example, is hots, natures swiftness, multiheals like circle of healing and ch. I'd kill for hots multiheals and natures swiftness..!

Is paladins healingspells easier to learn than other healingclasses? yes, cause its only 2.
Is paladin the easiest class to heal with in endgame pve? No, id say its the hardest considering the healing that needs to be done compared to what abilities we got available."

PS - if you have a lot of those people who cant not die when shit hits the fan or aoe dmg is going around sunwell is gonna be rough for you =/.

PSS - Prot paladin is hax for tanking the melee bitch on twins. And a prot pld is really good for sinister reflections on KJ. And of course felmyst. So just bide your time, your time to shine as an uber prot pld is coming :D.
