Work, Music, School, and basically Galina's lack of a life...
So, I haven't updated in forever- I've been really lazy. haha. They MYS concert went alright...incredibly long rehearsal though...hmm, and now we're playing The Planets by Gustav Holst. It's an okay symphony. I think I like Mahler better though. But, it's really annoying because we already have new chair auditions and they're on December 16th. Also, Julianna and I found a duet! woot! I'm excited. I went to Luck's and bought a fair bit of music! :D And...I finally got my driver's license!!!!!! Wooot! Hurray! Finally! My picture looks horrible though, but I don't care! I only got three points off on the driving part and three points off on the parking! (I learned to part the morning of...haha) And, since my sister, brother, and father all went to Florida for like a week- I got to drive one of the cars! woot! I've already driven tons on my own! woot! ...hmm....lately I've been working A LOT. It's kind of annoying, but I need the money, so whatever...And, lately all of my teachers have gone insane and assigned unfathomable amounts of homework so I've been pulling all-nighters like kindergarteners eat candy. Seriously. If it weren't for coffee, I don't know how I'd survive. And, I don't get home 'till at earliest like seven o'clock. And, this one night we had a Rental Night Meeting at work and I didn't get home until elevenish...then, I had a crapload of homework. It's really starting to annoy me. But, the homework should lighten up soon, so...hopefully things will work themselves out. :) Oh, we had this one assignment in English where we had to do a project about our "three trait characteristics" and we had to pick a song to descibe ourselves. And, I picked the Sibelius Violin Concerto- I love that piece!!! And, we also had to bring in a "symbol" that represents one of out trait characteristics, so I brought in expresso beans! They're amazing. The class devoured them. :D And, that day, I had so much coffee...it was insane...I was hyper all day. Reallllyyyyy hyper. :) But, I nearly crashed in sixth hour because I'd been up really late all week....haha. Also, yesterday we went to the opera again! woot! This time, we saw The Barber of Seville...I liked it a lot, but I prefer Porgy and Bess. So, Rob's gone all "organizational" all the sudden and he's making a crapload of rules and whatnot. And, now there's a new dress code...so I really need to go shopping. It's kind of annoying because it's a lot less flexible...but, it's not that bad. And, I can definitely understand the logic behind his actions...so...I really shouldn't be complaining...and I'm learning tons of new reparing stuff! woot! hmm... And, oranges came in from the orange sale! woot! I love oranges! And also, we're playing Winter in class! woot! I love that piece! So I've pulled my grades up decently! I still have a B in French and a B in math...but, by the end of the semester I should be able to get A's in both classes. :) And, lately I've been filling out the NHS application and it's taking forever! It's soo annoying. pooers. And, I've also gotten the results back from the US History SAT and I didn't do well at all- I got a 660 out of 800, so I'm retaking it this December along with the Literature SAT. That should be interesting. ick. I'm going to end up spending all of Thanksgiving Break studying. Seriously. Gross. And, today after work, we discovered that one of the stores that had closed down or moved, dumped garbage bags full of yarn out. So, Jacqui, my co-worker, now has like six garbage bags full of yarn in her pick-up. And, I took some too. :D haha. Oh, and I didn't end up going to the Blue Lake rehearsal because there was no way it'd work out. :( And,... ahaha...Halloween was quite fun- man, that was a long time ago! I wore my last year's homecoming dress to school and thus dressed up as a queen - for French extra credit mainly. :) And, I went trick or treating! woot! I was "Olivia Benson from the New York Special Victims Unit..." haha. I didn't wear the dress because it was too cold and I didn't want to get it dirty. It was amusing. And, later that night I had to write a report for econ on the Futures Market and coffee...haha, not fun....hmm....I got new glasses too and I went shopping today for the first time in ages! woot! okay. We'll I'm done. :)
