Who wants to strike a deal with the devil?
Sometimes it feels really good to take control of my own life on all the levels. Yet I know that sometimes it's perfectly fine to take a risk and dive into the unknow. Finding the balance between obsessive control and structure on one hand and unpredictive outcomes and gambles on the other is really hard. I think that in order to be comfortable in taking a risk, everything else should be decided and known. This is, of course, a statistician speaking in me. A mathematician would actually say that without taking risks we will get nowhere.
Sometimes it is worth taking a risk because of the positive outcome that will follow. That outcome sometimes will be so exciting it might blind reason. It also could inspire and drive changes - positive and negative.
So, if you want to strike a deal with the devil, what do you want in return?
