For all you foodies out there. Last night I had the most wonderful dinner. I was in Skokie for a concert and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat. So, just crossed the street and wondered into the first restaurant - Libertad (
http://www.libertad7931.com/). The food was to die for! I had Asada - a skirt stake over tomatoes, topped with yuko frites - went well with Rayun Carmenere from Chile! Yum!
The best part came in intermission when I took the friend to go eat the same thing. And I myself had a margarita based on Hum - a local botanical spirit (
http://www.humspirits.com/home/).
Waiters were all super nice and friendly. Bartender Joe was a great conversationist.
The place is set on a quiet street, not too crowded inside. Small. Intimate. Just cute all around!
