I am officially a college kid now. The past two days have felt more like a month. I moved in yesterday (sunday) and then as soon as my shit was dropped off, me and my dad went to Levi's grandma's house. Later on I went back to my dorm and met my roommate. Then things got really interesting. A few months ago, Andrew Herman gave me the screenname of a girl he met on vacation who was going to BU. Coincidentally, her name is Sam as well. I hung out with her last night. We went on a walk till we were two miles away from campus. On the way there we passed a bunch of lame frat parties. HIGHLIGHT:
1. We saw a car that was completely filled with packing peanuts (the styrofoam ones)so I took a few as souvenirs.
On the way back to campus, Sam and I decided to walk through Public Alley 422. I saw a piece of furniture which I felt would be a perfect home for my television. Sam helped me carry it the two miles back to campus. It was kinda heavy, and had no grips, so we carried it one block at a time, setting it down on street corners, and sitting on it. People looked at us funny. We asked some dude if we could borrow his skateboard to wheel it back home and we ended up having a friendly chat, and he gave us his address and told us to come drink and party whenever. Anyway, we finally managed to get the damn thing home. We are both very proud of ourselves.
This morning I spent 350 dollars on textbooks, and I still have another one to buy that was out of stock.
I live in Myles Annex, which is not a very happening place, but my neighbors are mostly pretty cool. One neighbor came home smashed at three in the morning, and knocked on the door to introduce himself. I had just gotten home from my outing with Sam. He said that the best way to get around the strict guest policy, is to climb through the windows since we're on the first floor. Today, I jumped out of my window and climbed back in to see if it could be done. Another RA, not mine, saw it and it was mentioned during a floor meeting. Fortunately I was not implicated.
Alright. There is probably more to say, but its almost 3AM and I need to go to class at eight.
