I am so excited that this person exists.
Someone in the UK, at a well respected university who studies 20th Century Portuguese cultural history. And might be genuinely useful in helping me with my current pet research interest, the effects of authoritarian governments on society and culture (focus on right-wing governments). Admittedly the Muslim bit of the authoritarianism wasn't in the plan, but at least our interests mostly align.
And for back up there's still Cambridge. Oxford has someone focusing on Spain but otherwise with more similar research interests to my own.
