I've found something for you. Unfortunately all information on Russian archeological sites is mostly in Russian, but you can at least use Google translate, which is pretty good and you can check out fotos anyway.
Most of the archeological sites in Russia are situated somewhere in the South regions. It's caused by much more historical background of this land. Russian south have witnessed Anciend Greeks, Romans, Byzantine Empire and othe nations, and due to the climatic conditions there are more remeinants here. In the Northern parts of Russia there's fewer ancient sites as people populated these lands much later.
