laid up with a cold thats causing me to skip classes (something I never do) but otherwise feeling much better. Decided to audit one class and feeling good about that decision, I was way overloaded in terms of writing/reading and I need to make myself work in the studio more. Thats why Im here, stuck in the middle of the fucking California suburbs.
this came in the mail a couple of weeks ago and im well on my way to augmenting it.

working on some ideas for some interesting audio installations. moving towards more video/digital work.Moving away from straight-on sculpture. Doing a reading group with one of my friends here and starting with Derrida. Prof has turned me onto Pragmatism and Richard Rorty. Also getting some Merlau-Ponty and Frankfurt school revue stuff sorted away with. Didnt intend this degree to be a hodge-podge philos-catch-up but its helping. Thinking a lot about another degree in rhetoric or philosophy afterwards. We'll see how the next 5 years sort themselves out eh?
