In slaughterhouse five there is a recurring quote and theme that epitomizes the way I'm trying to look at things in my life.

"So it Goes"

Vonnegut, hats off to you.

If only I could stick to this more often. I would have much less anxiety about my future.

I've tried to stick with this quote ever since I read it in high school.. shit I even got it tattooed on me to remind myself of how important it was. I think the feeling of "So it goes" is just engraved in some people, and not in others. Or, maybe we haven't experienced SO much, that we have the ability to say, "So it goes" you know? Kurt Vonnegut is an amazing, amazing, amazing soul.. and I believe he spoke nothing but true wisdom. Keep reading his novels, I'm not gonna try to hammer them into you, but after you read one, you'll understand why he's the greatest writer of our time.

Mijo, I love you. And I think we had a pretty long conversation about how him and a few others are the straight up G-men of contemporary literature. Cat's Cradle is prolly my fave book. Mother Night is pretty awesome too.

If more people read him we would have more people who knew what it was we are talking about when we refer to him.
