yesterday was the first time in a very long time I felt Chicago like weather while not actually in Chicago ... thermomenter on my back deck read 5 degrees in the morning when I was out filling the bird feeders and bringing in firewood ... was outside maybe 15 minutes and had frost/ice on my moustache
today we get a heat wave all the way up to a high of 19 ... along with a forecast of 6-9 inches of snow by tomorrow morning ... you folks out west in the mountains may be in for a genuine heavy duty winter weather event
the cold temps and the snow are sure to make Metro a disaster ... I'm thinking I'l be using my inclement weather telework option on Tuesday if I can
want to get your local forecast, go to
http://www.weather.gov/ and enter your zip code in the upper left corner
as an extra note, with overnight temps going to be in single digits, any snow you don't shovel will freeze in place and could be there for a while
