Hurricane
Ok, so long time, no post. School was cancelled today because of the reminants of Hurricane Ivan are reaping havoc over most of the South East. Classes are going well this semester. I love my structure of russian class and history of orientalism. I have one bummer class, intro to africa. My thesis is slowly progressing. The tragedy in Beslan (Беслан) actually brought about a lot more people asking the same questions I am about Chechen suicide bombers.
Adam and I have had some rough spots lately, but I things are going to be ok. I've been under a lot stress lately and dont know what I should do next year. I am thinking about going Georgia (the country) and hanging out in tbilisi for a year and learn Georgian and maybe some Chechen. I am still applying to graduate school. I will just defer for a year.
There's a hole within my soul!
Last night zach, raechel and I watched the russian film "брильянты рука" (diamond hand). It was the silliest russian film I have yet to view and gave my friends a pretty good dose of the way communism used to be.
well... I hope update again soon.
