So I recently purchased a *deep breath* Warwick Streamer Double Buck Special Edition Limited UK... of which there are ten in existence and I've ordered the tenth and final one at a cost of £1400. A steal given a standard Streamer $$ doesn't cost much less, assuming you can even find one them in the UK where they are not typically sold.
Last year the Streamer $$ Standard won the award for the world's best Electric Bass from the MIPA, the 'Grammy' of musical instruments.
I had been looking at Warwick basses (always wanted one as my bass of choice), was about to purchase a Corvette and then noticed this available. Pure luck that I happened to be buying from the shop just as they put the Special Edition bass on sale.
The bass is half Zebrano-wood, presumably with the intention of giving the bass a better mid-range attack which seems to be a common complaint of the MM clone pick-ups. It also has two pretty inlays added by the Warwick Custom Shop.
Arriving by Monday. Whether that means Saturday or Monday I'll find out when it arrives...
