Having fallen in love with this review, I would like to request your permission to court it with a view to entering with it into a state of passionate matrimony. Please.

Also, it made me so happy to see you say that shweta-narayan and my worlds feel like they're in the same universe! We kinda sorta discussed that a tiny bit, but I've only read snippets-in-progress of Jahanara's story, so I'm delighted that even the glancing against each other's pieces produced something whole-invoking. We're also working on a collaborative artifact to go with the antho -- something that might've been a diplomatic missive from one world to another. :)

Thank you so very, very much for this. It really is pure joy to read reviews that engage a collection critically, and so thoroughly as you have -- critical-objectivity-less interlude most definitely included.

I have no verbal brain today, so, what she said!
but with my own added thank you for all the time you've put into a wonderfully thinky review.

You're very welcome! I really loved your story, and then I got to Amal's and was like, oh, these... resonate. It was nifty.

I don't think they show very badly-- it wasn't story-breaking, just vaguely 'more goes here'-ish.

If you ever plan to do an expanded director's cut somewhere, though, I would read the hell out of that. I don't think it needs it, but it would be interesting.

(Also, awesome, shiny story.)

The link to Torquere wasn't working for me - is it correct?

SAdly, people can only order through me at this time, but I'm trying to get the link restored (the tl;dr version is that I don't think they had the staff and capacity to take preorders for more than a few days--but I know a lot of people prefer to order through the site, so I'm talking to them!)
