I think by that I mean as much the genre as this particular story. You know I don't read fanfic much, and this is the first time that I've encountered a crossover fic where I've actually seen/read both things being crossed. So this is a very new experience for me.
I'm really impressed with the way you've pulled out the philosophical themes that are shared between the two stories. It occurs to me that writing crossover fics would be an excellent exercise for a comparative literature class.

And yeah, I think it would be a great exercise for comparative lit-- possibly not even writing the fic, necessarily, but examining whether two works *could* be crossed plausibly, and the reasons why they could or couldn't. Especially if the works were from different cultures or time periods...

As to the bit with Lilith-- I probably should have gone into it a bit more, but basically it was simply what he said and I had to reason it through after the fact. It boils down to: Akio is Lucifer, therefore Anthy is Lilith. Akio and Anthy basically made the world of Ohtori, so have had a lot of influence over it, as much as Adam and Eve over our world. But Utena is decidedly on Anthy's side, not Akio's, in addition to being female. If there'd been a human male character in the story, Aslan would have called him 'Son of Adam and Lucifer', and I probably really would've had to go into that one more. But Utena didn't ask about it, darn it.

Very silly, but still.
I liked the honey, actually. The movement of honey seemed to fit very well, as well as its luminosity.
I want part two very badly now.
